A few weeks ago, we blogged about Evans House having a 6745 sqft fitness studio for hire complete with reception, individual coaching rooms/offices and a main training area with an astro turf floor.
We have had quite a bit of interest in the premises from trainers who want smaller units. With this in mind, we have decided to divide the unit into smaller bays for individual trainers to rent one bay (one bay is approximately 14 feet by 50 feet) or more. The dividers are movable, so if more room is needed, you can expand your business hassle free. We are also looking to provide communal showers and toilets on the top floor in the near future. Know anyone who would be interested in such a business? Please forward their details to us using the CONTACT page and we will get in touch. If the referral results in an lease, we will pay you a referral fee of £250 (terms apply - please contact us using the CONTACT page for more information). Flexible terms offered including rent free period of six weeks, set rent and services (for easy budgeting), various frequency rental agreements (e.g. weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually) and/or variable rental agreements (pay less rent when your business is quiet). We also offer assistance with signage, marketing, business development and construction matters.

Just a quick message to say thanks to everyone who read, responded and/or shared the previous post concerning the recent break in at Evans House. Mr Chris McNabb (not above) has apparently now been remanded into custody and been charged with burglary. For the full Warrington Guardian article, please click HERE.

I am looking to launch on the 15th of April 2016! What did you want to be when you grew up? When I grew up I always wanted to be a pop star or movie star How did you get into running Lock Down Escape? I got into running the business through going to the Prince's Trust on a business management course and that was where my business plan was made and came to life What is your top tip for running a business? You have to put everything else second and the business always comes first! Tell us an interesting fact about yourself I once went on the X Factor and got into the final 20. What is your most embarrassing moment? Repeatedly screaming someone's name in the middle of town to discover it wasn't the person I thought it was, so basically shouting my friend's name to a stranger and people were looking at me! Like "Dan....Dan.....Dan" in Alan Partridge? Pretty much yeah. Where can we find out more about what you do? You can find out more about what my business does at www.lockdownescapeeg.co.uk On Saturday 26 March 2016 I was rudely awakened by our security guards at 11pm who informed me that there had been a break in at Evans House; specifically at Exclusive Fitness for Women. A quick look at the CCTV showed a male in a grey tracksuit (possibly Nike) entering the building with a breezeblock at around 9pm via the west staircase and leaving at around 9.30pm with a pink Slazenger bag (note the breezeblock is now missing).
Having inspected the property in the dark before the police arrived and having changed my underwear, I can now confirm that the breezeblock was used to break into the gym, wherein several items were stolen, The CCTV also suggests that the male was either seen by a taxi driver parked on Hardy Street (a grey or light blue estate, possibly a Ford Mondeo) at around 9.30pm or that he left in that same taxi. It is believed that this person may be known by some locals and the police would like to speak to him in connection with the burglary. I would urge you to contact the local police on 101 and ask to speak to PC Niaz Waddington. Please quote incident number 1014 of 2016. As I was walking past the loading bay at Evans House the other day I noticed a car door that has words scratched into it that I need not repeat here. Needless to say, Darren, your girlfriend knows about Mary. Anyway, I digress. This week the Met Office has issued Warrington with a weather warning of icy blasts (not the things that cost £10 at the cimena and gives you brain freeze) and temperatures as low as minus 2 degrees. Most people would simply take note and wrap up accordingly. Not us Warringtonians. Here's some of the responses to the warning. "ICY BLAST ?? are you for real WBC .... stop wasting peoples time sending out these stupid warnings.... I bet the people of colder countries gain much amusement reading such scaremongering warnings !!! 2c is not worth worrying about. Try again when we have a constant -10c for a week then we may take you seriously...." "A level three alert is triggered when average temperatures have dropped to 2C° or less. another reason to vote for a Brexit." And our favourite: "It's called winter" Full points for emotive language and humour guys. Evans House is currently in discussions with an exit strategy game company called 'Lockdown' to open up a 'Crystal Maze' type experience at Evans House. Unfortunately Lockdown's lawyers would not agree to provide Richard O'Brien (the hair free dude from the Crystal Maze), but negotiations are ongoing. Watch this space... Letter to the Warrington Guardian this morning after the news about the fire on St Peters Way...
Dear Sirs, Was having a lazy morning but when I heard about a fire on St Peters Way, I jumped in the car and 'legged it' to see if our building was on fire as the last fire on St Peter's Way caused a fair amount of damage. Upon arrival we found that a) we were not on fire; b) the fire was three roads away on Haydock Street and c) my toast had gone cold. I request compensation from Warrington Guardian for inaccurate journalism. Please send one slice of brown toast, buttered, to Evans House, Norman Street, Warrington. Kind regards David Evans Evans House Limited |
