Yes dear folks, the Gremlins have descended upon us once again at Evans House and killed the East Entrance Lift to Independance, Cheshire Martial Arts, Lock Down Escape, Sentry Security, Natural Strength Yoga, Mike Ward Fitness Training and my private toilet with the pink fluffy seat. Whilst rumours have arisen that we have turned off the power only when knackered parents have entered the building for a giggle (which we do most weeks in fairness), we can confirm sightings on small evil looking creatures, not the cute furry thing to the left. We apologise for any inconvenience and have instructed Ace Electrics to resolve the issue (cough...they broke the lift). We hope to be back up and running shortly. If you need access to the lift in the interim, please contact the business you are visiting and they can make alternative arrangements with Evans House Management.

Natural Strength Yoga's master jedi trainer, Eugene, is now offering natural strength yoga and calisthenics classes at Evans House from unit 3.3c on the third floor (East Entrance - use Hardy Street car park). Eugene, who refers to himself as "G-Man" was so keen to get started that he began making his new clients walk up the 9 flights stairs using only their buttocks in an an effort to slow them down so Evans House could complete the unfinished training studio. Little did Eugene know that one of his clients was the UK Bum Stair Climbing Champion of 1987. Either way, Eugene is already training hard, and we ask that anyone interested should pop in or check out his website by clicking HERE. What’s your name? Graeme Finneran What business do you run? Gracie Barra Warrington. It's martial arts, specialising in Brazilian Jiujitsu for all ages What do you offer? Brazilian Jiujitsu (BJJ), martial Arts, children’s anti-bullying classes, classes for men and women, as well as strength and conditioning / personal training and flexibility and recovery such as yoga and physiotherapy. When did you start at Evans House? This month! July 2016 What did you want to be when you grew up? A British soldier in the Parachute Regiment How did you get into running Gracie Barra? Passion for BJJ that has meant I have competed internationally and have wanted to share this amazing sport with others! What is your top tip for running a business? Work hard, follow your passion and treat your students like family! Respect and discipline is the forefront of martial arts, that and pushing yourself to your limits to allow yourself and your team mates to grow! Tell us an interesting fact about yourself. I used to play Rugby for the County : ) What is your most embarrassing moment? Falling through a fence head-first! Where can we find out more about what you do? Come in and chat to our lovely team on the second floor of Evans House, Norman Street, Warrington. Alternatively visit our website www.gbwarrington.com , Facebook @graciebarrawarrington , Instagram @gracie_barra_warrington , or email us at gbwarrington1@gmail.com We at Evans House Business Centre in Warrington have recently suffered a spate of crimes by idiot criminals (e.g knicker thieves and broken windows) but nothing prepared us for the audacity of the most recent discovery. Last week I found that someone had stolen the flushing mechanism off the communal toilet on the second floor corridor. What is it with you people? These flushing mechanisms cost a tenner from Wickes across the road. It was probably harder for you to walk up the stairs and unscrew the thing without being seen, than it would have been for you to dig a hole in your garden or simply soil yourself. To the toilet plunger nicker and the knicker nicker, I say this; Warrington deserves a better class of criminal you cretins. Have you never seen Layer Cake? Police were called to the scene of the crime but refused to take my statement until I put my trousers back on. Forensics were also requested but said it was a s**t job that no-body wanted and the police advised they without the plunger itself, they had nothing to go on. Apparently this is not the first time this has happened in the local area therefore it appears the thief is on a roll. It's always sad when someone leaves Evans House Business Centre in Warrington; and so we must today bid farewell to Eugene, the one-fingered push up man (to clarify, he has more than one finger) of Natural Strength and Yoga. On the other hand, we are happy to welcome The Antique Company (UK) Limited on the third floor at Evans House (access via the East staircase and lift). TAC(UK) is part of the local Greenwoods group of companies which specialises in second hand furniture and catering equipment. For further information, check out http://greenwoodsofcheshire.co.uk/ Please remember that we still have a 1860 sqft ground floor unit available for rent, as well as some other smaller units. For details, please contact 01925 411170 or david@normanstreet.co.uk. If you successfully refer someone to us who signs up for a new lease for at least 12 months, we will give you a discretionary referral fee of £250 or a packet of crisps (whichever has greater value). Following the recent burglary at Evans House, wherein an intruder felt the need to steal several pairs of knickers and a broken TV monitor, BBC's "Caught Red Handed" came to interview some of the tenants and management at Evans House Business Centre in Warrington. Sadly, although Dom Littlewood presents the program, he was not here to do the interviews. We contacted Dom Littlewood to ask why he could not be bothered to come to Warrington but he declined to comment. We did however receive a letter from his solicitors asking us to stop emailing him pictures of Humpty Dumpty, as it was apparently offensive. A lovely lady called Julie and camera man Matt did however pop up to have a wander around the building and perform the interviews. Matt also felt the need to film from the roof, not because it was relevant to the documentary at all, but because he needed a quick fag break. The episode of Caught Red Handed will be aired some time in September 2016. Please feel free to have giggle at our expense. Exciting times at Evans House Business Centre in Warrington. With only a few units left, we are considering putting tents on the car park or renting out cardboard boxes in the street to cope with the current demand for new tenants. Anyway, we have been in discussions with Graeme Finneran of Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu Jutsu Bolton who hopes to expand their operations into Warrington. After a few initial concerns, Graeme has confirmed that the term 'Brazilian' has nothing to do with shaving people after having grappled them to the floor. Phew! If you or anyone would like to speak to us about starting a business or moving an existing one to Evans House Business Centre in Warringtin, please contact us on 01925 411170 by by clicking here. This week Evans House Business Centre welcomed its latest tenant, Josh Butler of Trianglestudio. Josh is a music producer, international DJ, whatever that is and evil minion. Whilst we'd love to make up some other things about Josh, thankfully the laws of defamation prevent us from doing so. More informantion to follow...
It's been a long hot week here at Evans House. Before we completed the install for Mike Ward's fitness unit another tenant, Red Hot Chilli Catering Equipment has moved into the top floor. I only realised this when I saw the half naked workmen shouting at each other as to how best to fit a 12 foot stainless steel sink into a 10 foot lift. Red Hot Chilli is a well established catering equipment supplied based on Wicwick Road and part of the Greenwoods Group. Please feel free to drop in and see them at their Winwick Road shop for further information. |
